Intro: I am Christina Koki, your post of the Effortless Closing Podcast. Born and raised in Silicon Valley. Every step has been fueled by a love of real strategy and real results. This isn't about side gigs, and it's definitely not about hustle culture. This is about optimization and building revenue, generating machines designed to make your life and your business feel effortless. After $92 million in sales of the last eight years while raising four little ones and building it all as a.
Wholepreneur. I've created systems that scale and a business that supports my life, not steals from it. And everything I've learned to make that possible is now inside the effortless closing method.

This show is for the woman who's already doing well, but is ready to simplify the work, amplify her income, and finally build a business that flows with her life.
Every episode brings sharp strategy, honest insights, and real world tools to help you grow your business and enjoy your life in the process. We don't just grow your business, we optimize it to feel effortless. This is the Effortless Closing podcast.
It is time for one of the most heart to heart moments that most people skip over because they're too busy trying to sell you a system or keep you up with a hustle. But I'm not here to do that. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of all this hustle. Even just the chatter about it is exhausting.
When can we get back to a simpler life? One Where the kids play on the floor with toys one where you just sit and play with them. No phones, no devices, just you and your children. Ugh. That's the dream, right? That's what I'm [00:04:00] trying to get back to.
So if you will allow me to speak to that version of you, who knows you were meant for more, if I can talk to that part of you for a few minutes. I greatly appreciate it. You have already built something. You are already making money. You're doing okay, but deep down, it still feels like it's all too fragile, too unpredictable, too tied to how hard you work or how visible you are.
Let me share something that just happened the other day. Okay? I am gluten-free. And I'm moving to a new city, like across the country, a place I've never lived, just visited a couple times. I've been searching for gluten-free bakeries because, well, I love fresh baked goods and finding a bakery. That does gluten-free and is fresh.
Not packaged is hard to find. So I found this place, but I couldn't tell if they were gluten-free or not. Like seriously nowhere. I saw some comments on Google about it, [00:05:00] but nothing in their marketing advertising. Instagram, nothing. And I'll be honest, there's so many times I'll show up at a bakery because Google says it has gluten-free items and it's macaroons.
Okay? Don't get me wrong, I like macaroons, but I'm tired of eating macaroons. I want a muffin, a brownie. I, oh my gosh. My daughter just had a gluten-free croissant. She was down in San Diego with my sister, and I was like, can you please send mommy some of those? Because I want one. So this is how important it's to me, right?
So I get onto Instagram and I DM the business. And I ask because I wanna make sure they have more than macaroons. The owner actually messaged me right back and tells me the whole store is gluten free. Then I think she saw what I do and read my profile because then a few minutes later she started going into her business troubles and how hard business has been that.
She is struggling with bringing people in and so on goes the conversation I mentioned. She needs to [00:06:00] narrow it down and find what makes her bakery uniquely special, her value to draw them in. Then I started to talk about, well, the same conversation we're going to have right now, how this conversation with her ends will shock you. But I'll get right back to that at the end of the podcast, I promise. But let me explain to you. What I talked to her about in a different way, as you understand, before I tell you how it all wrapped up, let's break it down. I wanna talk to you about something called MRR Monthly reoccurring revenue.
This isn't just a trendy term, it's the income that shows up like clockwork, month after month, whether or not you're actually launching, posting or selling. But more importantly, it's what lets you build a business that gives you back you. A business that supports your life, not drains it. And I'm not talking about slapping together a $27 membership and calling it reoccurring revenue.
That's a trap most people fall into. [00:07:00] You launch something low ticket, flood it with content, burn yourself out and wonder why it still doesn't feel sustainable and why the churn is so high. That's not what we're doing here. Far from it. Okay. What I am talking about is different real MRR, the kind that builds actual wealth
it's strategic, leveraged and personal to you. It can look completely different depending on what stage of business you're in and how you wanna grow. Let me walk you through a few powerful and underused examples. You are a coach, consultant, creative, or service provider. Instead of selling one-off sessions or packages, you create a monthly container, something clean and high value, .
Maybe two calls a month. Strategy review access to your insights. It's simple, not overstuffed, and you price it in a way that reflects the transformation, not your time. Five clients at $2,000 a month is a 10 KMRR without adding a single new [00:08:00] offer.
Remember, I'm all about building an empire through high ticket sales. Let's be strategic. You have a unique process, framework or system that others adore.
You could license it. Yes. Licensing. Someone pays you monthly to use your method, your content, your brand process inside their own work. Is that not crazy? And it's still yours, but now it's paying you without you being in the room. Okay. What about you? Love hosting, connecting, curating, value.
Right. You could create a paid community or advisory circle that doesn't require content drops every week, but instead gives people access to you or even better each other. Think elevated, think simple. Think real connection with smart structure, you could even take it further. You want to diversify. Build in real estate rentals that create consistent [00:09:00] cash flow.
Maybe you want to fund a short-term rental property from your business and wrap it into your brand's ecosystem, and guess what you get to do with that? If you do it, you can host your VIP weekends or creating a wellness escape or whatever at that Airbnb. That's MRR too. You know that, right? Or maybe you're naturally sharing tools and resources with your audience.
Don't overlook affiliate income. I know there's a lot of chatter about affiliate and income right now, but you gotta do it right. Affiliate and income has to be right. It has to be authentic, and people have to know that you're coming from a good place, that you've used it, you enjoyed it, and it's worked for you.
So choose something that's aligned. High value partners, softwares are fantastic because when someone signs up for a software, they use it every month. It's rare that they're gonna change. Supplements are the same thing. They take supplements continuously. Because they wanna get healthy. There's a reason they're doing this right?
And then there are systems. [00:10:00] Systems are another great thing. People need them to keep growing. But there's so many other cool affiliate ways that you can make money. And this is what this is all about. It's choosing what aligns with you, all of this, right? This creates reoccurring revenue without reinventing anything.
If you're already referring them, why not get paid for it? There is so much opportunity in the world. We have to figure out what's right for you. And that's what I'm all about building you. So here's what I want you to see. MRR is not about doing more, it's about doing what aligns and setting it up to pay pay you.
Well consistently. It's about shifting your role in your business from labor. To leadership from day-to-day scrambles to long-term strategy, from short burst of success to sustainable cash flow over time inside the WELL system, this is where we start.
It is one of the three secrets of my wealth system because once [00:11:00] the money is flowing in steadily, everything else becomes easier. You are no longer building from urgency. You're building from choice.
So let me ask you, if 30,000 in profit was already secured before the month even started, what would you stop doing? What would you finally have space to create? Who would you become when you're no longer selling from survival? Please think about these questions. Let's even make it simpler because I talk to so many women who are like, if I could just make $1,000 more a month, okay, 1000.
What would $1,000 every month change for you? Go deep. That's the power of MRR, and it's not outta reach. You just have to structure for it. Also, I feel it is important for you to know this. MRR monthly reoccurring revenue can be the only thing you build that builds your empire.
[00:12:00] Is that not crazy? You can build an empire. Over time just by doing MRRI have a really good friend. He's making half a million dollars using affiliate income on a software program and it's taken him two years to build it. And he is like, I barely work on anything else. He's like, all I do is make YouTube videos about it and I make my about it and I help people inside.
Like I have like a course inside it that they can do to learn how to use it. That's it. He's like, I barely work now. Is that not crazy? It can do a lot. It can build your empire, but I believe greatly in diversification. So MRR is just one of Secrets of my wealth system that I call the wealth system of a Cortes A.
If you wanna build your empire faster and more secure, you need to build MRR. And my other two secrets, mine is rentals, Airbnb's memberships, [00:13:00] affiliate income course sales, and so much more. For you. Think about it. So let's go back to that bakery I mentioned earlier. So you can see why MRR is so important in every empire, no matter what you're building.
Think about the bakery. She's selling muffins for $6 a pop. Now I know you're like $6 a pop if you're not gluten-free. If you are gluten-free, you're like, oh my god, Christina, let me tell you. So I'm coming from Silicon Valley. You want a gluten-free, like in Los Gatos, I've talked about this before.
They're like $12 for a muffin. It's absurd. I'm like, I do not wanna pay $12 for a muffin. She is selling muffins for $6 as a premium on gluten free. Okay. She's working hard day in and day out. She told me creativity, coming up with menus cool stuff is not her problem. Her problem is getting people consistently in the door.
She manages the shop, she bakes from scratch. She keeps things running. She has to sell a lot [00:14:00] of muffins, treats. She has a whole bunch of cool stuff in there just to break even. So think of that and when it comes time to name the bakery, she hesitated to call it what it really was. A gluten-free bakery, which kind of seems interesting.
Here's what she told me when I asked her about that, because if you've been around me long enough, you know I am really big on finding your unique value, getting your messaging dialed in. There's a whole bunch of stuff that we work on that really sets you apart because, well, here's what she said, because she was afraid it would turn people away.
She thought keeping things broad, just saying she's a bakery. Would help her reach more customers. So here's a question I want to hear from you guys. So post your comments, get on Instagram and post it wherever you want. I want to hear what you think. Does staying broad like that and just trying to appeal to everyone really help you reach more people?
Or [00:15:00] does it just make her real people the gluten-free people skip over her? If she had claimed the title, the Gluten Free Bakery from the start, would it have pushed people away or helped the right people find her faster? What do you think? I wanna hear from you, and here's where it gets really interesting.
What if she stopped thinking like a storefront and started thinking like a wealth system? Imagine this. She could do a private gluten-free club built for her best customers. They could pay like 1 99 a month to be part of something special. Exclusive tastings, burst access to new items, baking classes, even just a place to connect with other gluten-free foodies.
She can send boxes to them each month. There's so much cool stuff she can do, and with only 200 members, which is actually very realistic, she's making. Hold on to your hats. $40,000 a month in reoccurring revenue. [00:16:00] She could run the whole thing using her kitchen, her staff, her space. Maybe spend a thousand dollars a month to host events or extras.
The best part, the rest is pure profit. That's $39,000 a month in clean, repeatable, low effort income, pure profit. What does that open up for her? She can finally take a vacation. She can hire a manager. Now, I don't know if she has a manager, but she can hire a manager or she can hire someone else to run. I know she was telling me she had to go because she had to do payroll.
She can hire someone to do payroll for her, right? She can stop trading her time for every dollar. Or she could open two more shops without the pressure of selling more muffins every single day. That's what happens when you stop relying on daily sales and start building a system that supports you, not just creative ideas, not just polished branding, but real financial structure.
Structure that brings in consistent, predictable income, month after month [00:17:00] structure that creates space to grow, to breathe, to build without burning out. That's the difference between making money and having a wealth system. And that's why this conversation matters because the life you want, you know the freedom to expand the energy, to create the power to choose what's next for you.
That doesn't come from doing more. It comes from stabilizing your business with income that flows even when you're not actually chasing it. But here's the part most people miss. It's not about copying someone else's system. It's about building your wealth system. One that's rooted in how you work, how you lead, how you want to grow.
Did you catch my Instagram live on building a quiet empire? I did it a few weeks ago. So jump back into my, Instagram look for, I talk about building the difference between a quiet empire and a loud empire, and how important is being that person? Who builds a quiet empire? Maybe you're that $10 [00:18:00] million person in growing and nobody knows. Because even the most effortless empires still needs structure. It needs intention. And of course, a financial engine that isn't just working, but working for you.
This is the work I do with women every day. I help them build wealth systems that are predictable, scalable, and deeply aligned the kind of systems that make money consistently, that hold high ticket offers with ease that freeze up your time without lowering your income. This isn't about doing more.
It's about building smarter, faster, and cleaner. It's about finding the right rooms that expand with you. Having an opportunity to play in a space that has all the right coaching when you need it, most all customized to you. Think about how amazing that would be. It is about building the income that can be pure profit with not a lot of work.
If you build it right, like using an MRR, this is what the house. Was made for the House of Cortes, has the [00:19:00] rooms to hold you, gives you the opportunity to get the right coaching when you need it most. A community of women who help pull you up to their level where you can do the same as you grow. And teaching you how to build your MRR your way, even if it is buying rentals because it was made for you and you were ready for it.
This is not about teaching you steps, but to surround you with women who are already rising. It's a private invitation only society for Empire builders women who are leading high ticket businesses that aren't just chasing growth.
They're living in it. And don't worry if you are just starting, we have our fondly room where everyone starts because it doesn't matter where you are in your journey. The house has a room that can hold you and expand with you. Ah, I get so excited talking about this. We are just launching, but I can already see how life changing this is gonna be for so many women, and that is my purpose. [00:20:00] This is what I wanna do. I know you can make more money. Of course you can grow faster, but you don't have to do it alone.
So ask yourself. Do I have a system to grow my wealth and the space to be fully held inside that growth? If you are listening to this and thinking, I want that good. That's not an accident. I. That's the moment your next chapter begins. So make sure to get on my email list.
The open house for the House of Cortes, that is an invite only event, so you will want to get on the wait list to get an invite. I hope you enjoyed this episode. If you walk away with nothing else, remember MRR takes time to build and grow. But when it is done, it can be life changing. Start now, but. Please be cautious of whom you learn from.
MRR can become more work than you think if it comes from the wrong strategies. Thank you for joining me today.
